Save the Date: Annual Renewal Day & Covenant of Love Celebration
All missionaries are encouraged to attend SPMA’s Annual Renewal Day on Oct. 21. This is chance for us to press pause on our demanding, daily lives and reflect on our commitment to the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother Apostolate, renew our Schoenstatt spirituality.
This year’s Annual Renewal Day will include a Covenant of Love celebration for missionaries and receivers taking the Covenant of Love preparation course with Sr. M. Lourdes.

We Welcome Four New Missionaries
On September 17, we enjoyed a joyous afternoon at Mount Schoenstatt with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Hector Vega, who gave a beautiful sermon on forgiveness. We renewed our Covenant of Love with Blessed Mother and ended with welcoming four new missionaries to SPMA.
- Annie & Frank Gonzales, parishioners of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, will be circulating their Pilgrim Shrine among the students in the parish’s CCE classes.
- Raquel Casiano, a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary, will circulate her Pilgrim MTA with friends and family.
- Jose Trevino, a parishioner of St. Jerome, will share his Pilgrim Shrine with his family members.
Join us in welcoming these newest missionaries to the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate and thanking them for becoming Missionaries for Mary!
Covenant of Love Classes with Sr. Lourdes
Thank you to all the missionaries and receivers taking our Covenant of Love classes led by Texas SPM Moderator Sister M. Lourdes Macias. Taking place on Tuesday evenings via Zoom, this five-week course has been amazing! Taking us back in time, Sister Lourdes has shared with us the holy life of Father Kentenich and the birth of Schoenstatt. Plans for a Covenant of Love course in Spanish are being made for the near future.
The Covenant of Love celebration for this preparation course will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 as part of the SPMA Annual Renewal.
Parish Ministry Fairs
Earlier in September, missionaries Linda Silva, Mary Tamez, and Emily Escalona participated in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Ministry Fair. We also participated in the ministry for St. Jerome Catholic Church.
Ministry fairs give SPMA an opportunity to share our Schoenstatt spirituality with local parishioners and grow the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate. If your parish is holding a ministry fair and will let us promote SPMA, please contact Edna Salas so that she can provide copies of our brochures and help schedule volunteers to represent SPMA.
Auxiliary Shrine visits St. Jerome Catholic Church
This past July, the Auxiliary Shrine was sent out with missionary Frances Zunker to the St. Jerome Spanish Acts to spiritually guide them and help the group prepare for their December retreat. Join us in praying that they will have a fruitful outcome!
