A Loving Farewell
A Loving Farewell to Father Michael Kast
It is with a bittersweet mix of emotions that we announce Father Michael Kast’s reassignment to Bogotá, Colombia to assist in the construction and spiritual development of their first Schoenstatt Shrine.
On behalf of the Mount Schoenstatt family, we are grateful to Father Michael for his two years of service with Schoenstatt Austin and San Antonio. As Father Michael embarks on this new chapter, we impart our deepest blessings and prayers. He will be dearly missed, but we take comfort in knowing his gifts will now bless a new daughter shrine and a new Schoenstatt community.
In preparation for Father Michael’s next chapter, the Schoenstatt community held a special farewell gathering on Sat., May 17 following our third Sunday Mass to express our deep gratitude for the time, love, and dedication he gave to Mount Schoenstatt. His presence, guidance, and prayerful spirit have left a lasting imprint on our hearts and community. Father Michael walked with us in faith, celebrated with us in joy, and supported us in challenge.
Father Michael, we thank you for being a shepherd, a friend, and a living witness of our covenant. You will be deeply missed but never far from our prayers and memories!
Join us in praying for Father Micheal’s move to Bogotá and his next priestly mission.
In the Covenant,
Schoenstatt San Antonio Board of Directors
